Cancer Free Era

By Laura Ryan

I'm raising funds for the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation

In the last 5 years the number of cancer patients being seen and treated by the medical oncology service at Toowoomba hospital has doubled.  With regional cancer services not included in the plans for the new hospital, this provides the opportunity  for a stand alone specialist centre.

As one of those patients I have so much gratitude for the work that they do, but can see the massive benefits that a regional cancer centre would have. Having spent my birthday last year recovering from a mastectomy, I decided to celebrate my 40+5! In lieu of gifts, I’d appreciate it if anyone who is in the position to could make a donation to this incredibly worthwhile cause!

Toowoomba needs a cancer centre that’s a dedicated place where people can see doctors, specialist nurses, and allied health professionals. A gym where people can rehabilitate from their treatment, dedicated laboratories that are specific for cancer care.

Thank you!!
