Regional Cancer Centre Fundraiser

By Beck Johnson

Why?

The day after my 43rd birthday, I was told I had stage 4 bowel cancer that had spread to my liver.
It was NOT the news I had been expecting on my visit to the ED.
After spending LOTS of time with many patients and countless nurses and doctors at the Toowoomba base hospital- I met a beautiful lady who worked with the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and she told me they needed an ambassador for the Regional Cancer Care Centre.
Having been through (still going through) my own personal cancer journey - I knew I had to turn this huge life transforming negative into a positive and agreed to help in any way, shape or form I could.
I’m raising funds in support of the Regional Cancer Centre

By supporting my fundraiser you’ll be helping to ensure patients diagnosed with cancer have a safe and comfortable space to receive treatment and care with Darling Downs Health.

The new Regional Cancer Centre aims to bring together the people, equipment, expertise, services and healing environments needed to treat hundreds of cancer patients in a dedicated stand-alone facility.

Together we can help turn this vision into a reality and build the Regional Cancer Centre.
